Straight connection, pattern 50 cm high.
When it comes to wallpaper, remember to carefully calculate your needs!
The calculation of the number of rolls varies depending on the wallpaper chosen and its type of connection (straight or skipped), that is to say when the patterns overlap from one strip to the other.
Straight-cut wallpaper is generally wallpaper whose patterns must be installed at the same height. If the straight connection is not respected, the patterns will be abnormally offset. A straight connection of 50 cm for example means that there are 50 cm between the patterns to be connected of two strips.
Example / Calculation with straight connection
For a wall measuring 6m in length and 2.5m in height, with 50cm straight seam wallpaper rolls having a roll width of 50cm:
1) Calculate the number of strips: 6 ÷ 0.5 = 12. You will therefore need 12 strips.
2) Calculate the necessary wallpaper footage 12 strips x 2.5 m height = 30 m.
3) Allow + 10% for cuts: 30 + (30 x 0.1) = 33 m.
4) Calculate the number of rollers: 33 ÷ 10 = 3.3. You will need 4 rolls.
The rolls are produced to order to ensure continuity of color and pattern. We assign a bath number to each manufacturing batch to avoid discrepancies. Even minimal variations between two printing series can be seen once the wallpaper is placed on the wall. We advise you to always allow 10% more than the calculated need and depending on the pattern match.
